The pass plus course is available to drivers who have passed their driving test and can be taken anytime although it is most useful to new drivers within the first year. If that’s you, then congratulations, you can now move on to improve your new skills and become a mature, experienced driver.
Pass plus is recognised by some insurance companies and can bring down your premium by around 35%. Check with the insurance company first and enquire if they are in the scheme and if it helps to reduce your insurance costs.
6 Modules
Pass Plus does not involve taking an extra test
It focuses on the following 6 modules and is carried out over a series of 3-6 hour lessons:
- Town Driving
- All-Weather Driving
- Out of Town Driving & Rural Roads
- Night Driving
- Dual Carriageways
- Motorways

The DVSA require a minimum of 6 hours to cover the modules, but this depends on the pupils level of driving skills and the time of the year/time of day.
On completion of the modules you will gain a Certificate of Achievement and be fully confident in your ability to handle all road situations.
